Here at Doppler, we’re all about doing good. We want to do good in the world, we want to help others feel good, to reach their dreams of doing good and in turn, share that with the world. We believe that if we’re getting to reach our dreams and generally, hang out doing work and creating things that make us feel amazing and sharing that with others, then the world would be a better place.

That was all a lot of ‘goods’! But we mean it, we want to help shape and create a world that feels good. And we do this by supporting social enterprises, B Corporations, and artists of all kinds to reach their dreams. This might be through sharing information about fundraising, supporting marketing strategy or business coaching.

Apologies we couldn’t think of a sexier headline for this. Let’s talk about fundraising, shall we? How does it make you feel when you think about fundraising? Chances are you don’t relish the idea. It can be daunting particularly when your reason for creating your social enterprise or business is not motivated by making yourself or other people stinking rich.

Social Impact Funding is not well known yet and it’s hard to believe that there are others in the world wanting to see the same positive changes that we want to see, let alone fund it. We promise you these people exist though!

I ❤️ the Craft Coop

Last week we took a wander to the Craft Coop to meet the wonderful manager, Heidi, and the lovely volunteer team.

Being both perpetually nosy and having spotted this little cave of wonders a few weeks previous, we were excited to learn more about the cute, community-run shop in Windsor Yards.

Heidi is a passionate resident of Windsor who was disappointed that most of the gifts on offer to tourists were made in China and not made locally. So she started her own giftware range and asked the founders of a community coop in neighbouring maidenhead if they would consider setting up in Windsor…
